ACE's Coaster Christmas 2007 at Silver Dollar City -- 12.01.07

Since this was COASTER Christmas, I decided it was neccessary to
ride ALL of the coasters at the park.

Don't be fooled -- this coaster packs quite the punch

On the way to our late lunch at Reunion Hall we stopped by ThuNderaTion.

After a very large buffet lunch Brad Thomas, GM of SDC presented the 2008
additions to the Branson Properties.

Silver Dollar City in 2008 will add a new Culinary Arts School which
will be located across from Red Gold Heritage Hall and they will be
expanding the parking lots. There will be no new ride in 2008.

White Water Branson in 2008 will have a brand new Main Gate area which
will have improved facilities for better and faster customer service.

Celebration City in 2008 will add a Shoot 'd Chutes ride that Herschend
Family Entertainment bought from Cedar Fair to be called Roaring Falls.
This ride was removed from the now closed Geauga Lake Amusement Park near Cleveland.

Next up was Jeff Mast, Head Regional Rep from ACE who introduced
two new Assistant Regional Reps and reminded those in attendance that
Coaster Con will be at SDC/CC/WOF in 2009.

Following Jeff was Brandon Stanley from Worlds of Fun.
Brandon stated that WOF will be focusing on more midway renocvations
for the 2008 season and no new ride would be added. He did comment
that the next big ride should appear in 2009 at the park.

After his presentation Brandon gave away prizes to those who correctly
answered trivia questions regarding Worlds of Fun's history and rides.

Following Brandon's presentation and trivia game, Lisa Rau
from SDC PR conducted a Christmas word game for prizes.

The grand prize of the day was two season passes for the 2008 season
which went to two lucky people who will use them a lot next season.

Over all I believe this was the best Coaster Christmas yet and next year is
to be even bigger with the addition of other presenters.

Thank you to Silver Dollar City for a great event! See you again next year!!!
