World Fest 2008


 It's Spring Time in the 'City and that means it is time for World Fest



World Fest continues to be one our favorite times of the year at SDC



Decorations abound on the City SQuare area



Over in the Dockside Theatre returning for another season is the Invaders from Trinidad



They put on a wonderful show with their steel pan orchestra



Sharing the theatre with the Invaders is "Master Yodler" Kerry Christensen from Australia



One of the "big" shows this year is FEET OF FIRE and it is performing in the Red Gold Heritage Hall



The show is basically an Irish Variety show that last 35 minutes



Despite its name, there is no dancing on fire, to which I was quite disappointed
However if you like a lot of Celtic dancing you will like this show.



There is some symbolic fire dancing, which is not really explained, so at least there is some fire.
