MALL OF AMERICA | Trip Report 01.23.10
Welcome to a new year of trip reports. I started off 2010 with a
trip up to Minnesota - and as normal I stayed at the Hyatt Place.
It seems like it has been forever since I have been here.
BARBIE has officially invaded the mall - you've been warned.
Speaking of Barbies, they were having a regional cheer competition
in the Best Buy atrium. Way too much estrogen for my liking.
I couldn't help but have visions of "Bring it On!" while watching.
I guess this group won their division. Not really sure.
Again with the theme of "too much estrogen" there were fairies
at the other end of the Mall. I think Delta Dental was the sponsor.
Ok, let's get down to business... this was the main reason I was here.
First up was the newest attraction at the park, the Ghostly Gangplank.
Basically the attraction is a serious of rope courses with 4 different levels.
Here you can see just how high the top level is... and of course the gangplank.
The attraction is a $5 upcharge if you have a park wristband.
However there is no time limit for the course and you can really
stay as long as you like -- so it is well worth the upcharge.
The course was a lot of fun, and will probably become a tradition
when I venture up to MOA.
