SILVER DOLLAR CITY - SPRING BREAK | Trip Report 03.19.10
From Grandfather's Mansion I made my way to the Flooded Mine.
Good showing my first ride of the season 12860
After seeing how long the line was for Powder Keg (entire queue full
and the line was all the way down the hill to the arch)
I decided to ride Wildfire (which only had a 20 minute wait).
The line there was much shorter. :)
I rode it twice and enjoyed both of our laps.
By then it was in the mid-70s so I decided to try out the new ride.
The new ride takes up the real estate previously used by Tom Sawyer's Landing.
The theming of the area is excellent.
The ride did experience a few shut downs during the day when a boat
got stuck in the canal and mechanics in waders had to go get them unstuck.
There are targets along the course that make things move and others
that cause water to spray at the rafts or even water bombs to go off.
