Cedar Point's Coaster Mania Trip Report -- 06.07.08
Day 4 of Coaster Quest 2008

On our "off day" on our last coaster trip, we spent most of the day in
beautiful Windsor, which is just across the bridge from Detroit.

It is so weird to see other flags flying besides the Stars and Stripes.

At the entrance to the park are these two "swans" - which I thought were cool.

Derrijk sitting on an "egg" next to a huge wire chicken.
IDK why we didn't get a photo of the whole thing.

The momma elephant and her babies is one of the most popular exhibits on the walk.

Of course you have to take your photo riding the little elephants

I think the name of this one was Discovery of Flight. There are a lot
of multi-colored bird shapes that make up this very large sculpture.

This one was very different how it used the marble balls with the slabs.

I loved this one, because penguins are just cool and my favorite animal.

This one was very intriguing. It was made up of 3 seperate parts and
the fingers "moved" depending on which direction you were looking at it from.

The "secret" was over scrutinized by Missy and Derrijk who kept going on
and on about how inaccurate the portrayal was of the figures. It's art!

Downtown Detroit. If only it was as clean as it looks from over here.

The three amigos in front of Ambassador Bridge... darn backlighting

...and let's head back across the bridge since a storm is coming.
