Welcome to Opening Weekend for the NEW Tom & Huck's River Blast!

The ride, however, is only the center piece of a whole newly redone area.
Here you can see a lot of the transformations done to Huck's Fort.

One of the largest changes (other than the ride) is the addition of
Huck's Hidden Treasures "pan for gold" attraction.

This replaces the former location up near Powder Keg - and it appears
to be quite popular in its new location it was busy most of the day.

Here you can get a better idea of just how busy it was mid-day.

Another change is the removal of the Pen and Paper shop and the
addition of this new shop that takes residence on a former pathway.

The new store has merchandise for the new River Blast! attraction,
as well as things to keep you "dry" while riding the attraction.

Speaking of the old pathway, here it is. It used to be a short cut
to the Riverfront Playhouse's restrooms. However now it is closed
to the general public and can only be used by cast members.

All right, enough talk about the area, let's get to the new ride.

Walking towards the entrance to the ride, you come past new theming
on the Carousel Barn. I think this makes the area look more complete.
