Opening Day - (HHSTL)

Welcome to Hurricane Harbor St. Louis.

I started off the day with Bonzai Pipelines.  I knew the lines for it would be long later.

Next I headed over to the tube slide complex.

The two enclosed slides are the best.

Big Kahuna provided a lot of airtime today.

Castaway Creek lazy river was allowing you to just stay on today.  So nice.

Wahoo Racers was busy today.  Nice to have people to race.

The body slides need to be refiberglassed.  The green one scratched up my back.

Tornado was fun like normal.

Stood in the deluge from the bucket a couple times at Hook's Lagoon.

Lots of rugrats running around this area.

Finally I broke the waves at Hurricane Bay.

Really this is a pretty good waterpark.

Time to head into the ride park.

Oceans of Fun Grand Re-Opening

Today is the big day!

Today is the Grand Re-Opening of Oceans of Fun.

The Peanuts Pals and Park GM Frank Wilburn cut the ribbon to signify the park is re-opened.

Let's take a look at the newly redone park.

The former counter for locker rentals has been repurposed.

The new locker pavilion.  It is all digital now and run from kiosks.

The new lockerrooms are so much nicer than the old ones.

There is new signage all over the park.  This is the newly improved Crocodile Isle.

You can see some of the newly added play things there in the middle.

They added soft shores here on this pool.

The new sign for Monsoon.

The new sign for Captain Kidd's.

This area was completely redone.

Subway was completely gutted and redone.  It will open later in the day.

The new Chickie's and Pete's.

The new sign for the restaurant.

Inside the new restaurant.

It is proving to be very popular.

The new sign for Castaway Cove.

The much needed increase in capacity at this adults pool was much needed.

The new sand volleyball area.

New walls and landscaping have appeared all over the park.

The new sign for Coconut Cove.

New floating obstacles for this pool.

New paint on the pump building.

Aruba Tuba's new sign.

Calypso Cafe's new colors.

Typhoon's new sign.

Diamond Head's new sign.

The new paint on Diamond Head looks great.

The new "mega" cabana comes with its own guard.

The newly expanded sun deck on the island in the middle of the lazy river.

The tube rental stand received new paint.

Paradise Falls is one of the few parts that didn't receive any attention.

New color and new menu at Papaya Pete's

New sign at Hurricane Falls.

New sign at the wave pool.

New colors and signage on the pump building at the wave pool.

Lots of new chairs waiting for guests near the wave pool.

Time to go check out the new slide complex.

There are separate queue lines for Shark's Revenge/Constrictor (tube slides) and Predator's Plunge (body slides).  You will pick up your tube here before entering the line.

The next few photos are detail shots of the new complex.

It's a nice new complex.

I want to thank WOF/OOF for the invite to come enjoy the park today.

I will definitely be back again this season.
