FOOD

A major part of Street Fest is the food offerings.  SDC has brought back Tasting Passports to help guests maximize their food spending money and be able to test out these new offerings

SMOKED BRISKET TOTCHOS

Hatfield's Tater Patch

Thoughts: This sounded like it would be good on paper, but the execution was just all right.  The individual components were tasty, but together it just didn't really work

Thoughts: This was just not good. The meat was runny and didn't have much flavor.  It was definitely not a good combination

BELGIAN WAFFLE (SNICKERS)

Thoughts: This thing was delicious but really really rich.  Even with the sugar rush I would get another in a heartbeat.  The waffle is covered in a chocolate mousse and then Snickers chunks were put on top with a caramel drizzle.

BELGIAN WAFFLE (S'MORES)

Thoughts: Like the Snickers version, this thing was also delicious but really really rich. The big difference with this one is that it had marshmallow fluff and then graham cracker and chocolate put on top of it.  Very yummy

Thoughts: The chicken was very juicy and flavorful.  The Noodles were decent but really relied on the sauce from the chicken to have any flavor.

Thoughts: Good combination of flavors.  The steak was seasoned nicely.  The hot dog was a good quality product.  The cheese topped it off perfectly

Thoughts: The steak was good here too and the raviolis were fresh so this was an amazing combination of flavors

Thoughts: Another good combination.  A little hard to eat.

Thoughts: These seemed smaller than last year's version and they did not include the fruit skewer like they had last year, but it was still tasty

Frisco Kettle Corn

Thoughts: We had a punch left so we decided to try this.  It is basically kettle corn with Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal in it.

Fire in the Hole (SDC)

The gravity building for the newest addition to Fireman's Landing continues to grow

It is really hard to get a good idea of just how big this building is without seeing it in person

It dwarfs the original Fire in the Hole building

Still doing some foundation work on this side

The machinery helps give you a better idea of the size of the building

That building is pretty tall

A marker near the fence behind the little swings.  This is supposedly where the entrance pathway will be located for the new ride

Duplicating Lathe is back!

It is so nice to see this shop back open.  We didn't know after last year's fire if it would be able to return
