Branson Sawmill

Welcome to the Branson Sawmill Entertainment Complex

The Sawmill is home to two attractions, the first being the Buzzsaw

This is a swing ride that takes you up and spins you around offering great views of the Strip, the complex and beyond.

The main attraction is the Branson Coaster - and you know it is going to be a good day when I get the cart with my favorite number on it.

The Branson Coaster is unique in the fact that it is basically two tracks on the same plot of land.  You start out on track one which offers a very twisty ride down the hill.

There are lots of curves on track one.

The trees have really grown in since my last visit

At the end of track one, you go up lift hill one back to the top of the complex.

Hi there.  Long time no see.  After a very long void of trip reports, we should be getting back into the swing of things.  I have to admit, I never dreamed that this would be my first coaster of the year.

Still headed up lift one

Track two is all about speed.  It is not as long as track one but offers some fun straight areas and some high G-force turns

Track two is a lot of fun.  I wish it was longer though.

So what are my thoughts on the Branson Coaster?  It is easily one of the smoothest mountain coasters I have ridden.

I think it is a lot of fun and I will probably make an attempt to visit again soon.

Branson Buzzsaw - NOW OPEN (Branson Sawmill)

The NEW Branson Buzzsaw is now open at the Branson Sawmill (the rebranded home of the Branson Coaster)

Near the ticketing area, they have a test seat.

I found it interesting that they have turf on the loading platform.  Those tree stumps are where you store your loose articles.

It might not be the tallest swing ride out there, but it does offer some nice views of the area.

Branson Buzzaw (Branson Sawmill)

The Branson Coaster is in the process of preparing to add a new attraction.

The new site is round and is fenced off for the time being.

Rumors have stated that they are adding a swing attraction.

It will be interesting to see what happens with this spot.

Special thanks to sanddunerider for the photos for today's update.

Branson Coaster - NOW OPEN (Branson Sawmill)

Welcome to The Branson Coaster, the newest mountain coaster to open in the Ozarks

After purchasing your ride tickets (which are put on a play card) you enter this queue to wait for your turn to board.

After loading, your cart gently moves forward to the starting position where the track automatically releases your cart onto the track once the correct amount of distance has been passed by the cart ahead of you.

Right out of the station you enter this helix which gradually accelerates your cart.

Once you get out of the helix, your cart really takes off.

You're really booking when you hit this point going down the hill.  It is shortly after this point that your onride photo is taken.

Brakes are automatically applied to bring you to a stop before heading up the first lift.

This lift hill is only the mid-point of your ride.

Up we go.

You get a good view of the track of the first part of the ride as you ride up.

The first part of the ride is really curvy and a lot of fun.

Almost to the top.

The second portion of the ride is all about speed.

You really go fast through the second part of the ride.

Before you know it, you're already at the bottom of the hill.

Heading up the second lift.

I honestly think this is one of the best mountain coasters I have ridden.

The rest of my party coming back into the station.

You disembark your cart just around this corner and exit through the gift shop.

This is a great ride and I imagine we'll definitely be back.

Make sure you take advantage of their pricing options.  Your first trip is full price but any additional rides during that same day are half price.  Also, they have a punch card where you buy 5 rides and get the 6th free (and yes you can share the card).
