We finally made it to one of our bucket list parks - LAGOON

The main reason for wanting to visit is this ride - Cannibal

This stellar ride begins with an elevator lift that goes into a beyond vertical first drop

The most unhinged part of the ride is this roll sequence over the falls that is taken way too slow so it has you hanging on for dear life by just your lap bar.  Amazing Ride!

The other marquee ride here is Primordial

This ride is a fusion of rollercoaster and shooter ride.  It is honestly what Guardian at Canada's Wonderland wanted to be, but failed at becoming

Another fun ride - and that ending is so much fun and comes out of nowhere

The S&S tower ride here is much like the one at Dorney Park.  One shot, one drop and one wasted tower

A very nice ferris wheel at the park

Centennial Screamer

Flying Aces is their flying scooters ride and yes you are able to actually snap them

Paratrooper

Tilt-A-Whirl

Jet Star 2 forces you to make new friends to ride if you are an odd number of people.  Fun ride, but still not sure about their forced no single rider rule

Bat - and not the fun Arrow suspended one unfortunately

The park has two great dark rides.  This is Dracula's Castle

and this is Terroride.  I found it odd that they had such rides considering how religious the region is that the park is located in

BomBora was a surprise hit for us.  Love the surfin' music are you ride around

Merry-Go-Round

Roller Coaster is the oldest roller coaster at the park and honestly it is quite rough

Puff the Dragon is the kiddie coaster at the park

Rock-O-Plane

Wild Mouse

Cliff Hanger

Wicked - it starts with a launch that goes up and over that hill you see there in the back

Colossus is an old school looper and is a lot of fun

Matterhorn

Spider is a spinning mouse and an identical layout to Phoenix back home at Adventureland

The park has a nice and long Sky Ride that runs from one end of the park to the other

It really reminded me of the one we lost at Adventureland when it went through the trees

This was a great day.  We hope we can return to Lagoon some day

Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park

 

Welcome to Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park in Glenwood, Colorado

You have to ride a gondola up to the park from the city of Glenwood

Coming into the station at the top of Iron Mountain

The coaster that has really put the park on the map is Defiance

Defiance has a vertical lift hill and a beyond vertical first drop

Great ride with a fantastic setting

Next was the Alpine Mountain Coaster

This was one of the first mountain coasters in the country and is honestly one of the best.

Crystal tower is the park's drop ride

You are placed in this box and then it drops you 110' into a mine shaft carved out of the mountain

Canyon Swing takes you out and over the cliff about the Colorado River

Wild West Express is the park's kiddie coaster

The park has a pair of Flying Eagle ziplines

Canyon Flyer is a swing ride that twirls you out over the canyon cliff

Mine Wheel will take you up so you can see the view

Cliffhanger Roller Coaster

The 4D Theater was showing a monkey roller coaster film.  It was pretty silly
