Skylift Park

Welcome to Gatlinburg's Skylift Park

The complex continues to grow

Let's head up the mountain

You might notice that the chairs are a little bigger than last time

That's because the original skylift was destroyed in the wildfires that burned down a lot of the area

However, like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Skylift Park has returned bigger and better

The upper complex is huge now

One of the newer attractions is the Skybridge

This is one of the longest suspension bridges in the world

The views are amazing

Fair warning, there are clear panels in the bridge at the halfway mark

This is the far point of the bridge.  You can see the upper complex in the distance

This is seriously the best viewing attraction in Gatlinburg

The Skytrail takes you under the Skybridge and around the valley's edge

This trail will take you to the Tulip Tower

It gives you this view.  Yes that is the Skybridge you see in the foreground

Interesting attraction.  It also has some information on the fire posted as you climb

Heading back to the complex you get some nice views of the bridge and the mountains

Don't mess out on the viewing platforms located in the upper levels of the main complex building

Time to head back down

It definitely feels a lot steeper going down.
Really fun attraction and definitely our favorite place to visit on the strip

Sky Lift Park

Welcome to the Historic Gatlinburg Sky Lift

We are headed up there.

The angle of accent gets pretty steep.

Like seriously steep.

Finally to the top.

Looking down at Gatlinburg.

The top of the chairlift

The other end of the "Strip" in Gatlinburg

Really enjoyed the views up there.

Time to head back down.

The ride down is a little unnerving

Yep.  Pretty steep angle of decent.

About to come in for a landing.

Back on the ground!  Pretty fun ride with a great view up top.
