Worlds of Fun - Park Update

Let's pop in for a quick park update at WOF

Zulu is still down

Hi, Eli!

They are still working on repainting the buildings in Bicentennial Square

We found it interesting that they have installed some major duty doors on all of the buildings

Still working here

SteelHawk still is not open and they have the evac equipment installed for some reason

They have added two new fountains to RipCord Lake

Giant smoker has been installed next to the restaurant in East Asia.  They removed seating and covering to put it in

That's all for today - see you at Haunt!

Worlds of Fun - Live Entertainment

Worlds of Fun is back with a new season of Live Entertainment

In the Moulin Rouge, REWIND is performing

The musical review covers music from each decade starting in the 1950s to today

They bring a "lucky" crowd participant up to help with YMCA

They have a very talented cast this year.  The show is definitely worth watching

In the NEW Cyclone Sadie's Saloon you will find the new Possum Trot Follies

It features Mayor Pa on the piano and these three lovely "Saloon Girls"

There is limited seating but it is definitely fun to watch

The train robbers are back in Yumma Yucca Messa

Let's just say they are not the brightest of thieves or moonshiners

There is a new show at the Possum Trot Town Meeting.
They are attempting to pick a new town mascot and town name

Yes, he's dressed up like a corn cob

Voting by applause for a new mascot

Since it was a tie with no real winner they had to check the by-laws

The verdict was to stay with the possum

Red, White and Tunes is performing on the Americana Stage

On the main stage in Gateway Gardens is Rhythm Nights

Dancing, Singing and high energy to close out the day

Lots of high quality entertainment this season at Worlds of Fun

Worlds of Fun - Park Update

New themed Coke signs have been installed at two locations around the park.
This is the Refresh Station in East Asia

Another sign on the Moroccan Merchant store in Africa

Another new sign - The Oasis Patio now has a permanent sign

Work continues to bring Bicentennial Square back to life

Looks like the Liberty Bell could use a haircut

A new stockade prop has appeared near the Timber Wolf exit

If you need a shaded and quiet place to relax, this might be your place

They are continuing to paint the facades in the area

Next we will focus on closed rides.
RipCord still does not have any cables.  We feel this confirms the rumors that it will be removed this off-season

SteelHawk is still closed - BUT was seen cycling today.

They have signage saying that they're getting closer to having it ready to open

The Brigade ride in Planet Snoopy looks very life-less.  The ride vehicles are currently in the former ball pit building.  There was no movement here making us wonder what's really going on

Apparently this remodel is taking longer than expected

A new store (L'atelier du Magicien) has opened in Europa

It appears to specialize in selling local art

Here you can see different trinkets for sale

There's also a couple of walls of art to purchase and they have a few prints of art behind the checkout counter

New fountain in Europa is operational

A new office scene has been added to the queue for Cyclone Sam's

A new Single Riders line has been added to Detonator in the place of the former Fast Lane entrance

Plaza Gifts has been reorganized and the checkout counters are consolidated into one location in the middle of the store

Finally, there's a FIFA viewing area next to Sand Dune Diner.
