Oceans of Fun Construction

We have lots of metal noodles sticking out of the ground now at Oceans of Fun.

The slide parts are covered in snow though.

Verruckt Construction (Schlitterbahn)

They've made some major progress since our last visit.

Here it is.  This HUGE footer.

Just kidding - they've practically have built the second hill already.

I honestly have no idea how this is going to work.

To me it just seems wrong.

The real question is whether or not this will have any airtime.

I guess this is where the slide will end.  One would think it would have a lot of momentum coming off that hill and would need a longer run out.

Not sure what this foundation is for, but it looks like maybe a pump house.

The main tower isn't any taller since our last visit but there are more smaller supports going up.
I found it interesting that they are already building the staircase.

We'll continue to monitor the progress of this slide.

Boomerang Construction (SFSTL)

Oceans of Fun Construction

Time to check in on the progress at Oceans of Fun.
Here is an aerial view of the work zone.

You can see the slide parts out in the parking lot.

The new run out pools are pretty close to the wave pool.

Pylons are being made for the tower.

You can see the run out pools being dug.

You can see how deep the pool is comparing it to the Bobcat.

The slide parts are slowly being put together.

You can see that acrylic tubes let in light so you can see as your slide.

These will be the drop capsule body slides.

There will be three different slides.

Work continues on expanding the sun deck at the adult pool.

Landscaping work around the wave pool.

Landscape work by Coconut Cove.

Painting in the main plaza area.

The newly expanded sun deck near Hurricane Fall's exit.

Boomerang Construction (SFSTL)

Six Flags St. Louis decided to show off track for their "new" coaster Boomerang.

They did a photo opp with the track segments near the Gateway Arch.

Not sure how long the track will be here so make your way over to the Arch if you want to see it.
