Lost Mine Mountain Coaster

Welcome to the Lost Mine Mountain Coaster

This has quickly become one of favorites in the area

Load station

Up the first lift

This rider is on the last section

Still climbing

Time for the second lift

Heading into the mine

We will be on that section as soon as we climb this lift

Through the mine we go

Climbing to the highest point of the layout

Through the Old West village we go

This is probably the best section of the layout after the Old West village

Up the third lift

The final lift which takes you into the helix and back to the station

Rocky Top Mountain Coaster

Time for the area's most popular mountain coaster - Rocky Top

Loading station

The final portion of the ride

Zoom!

Heading up the first hill

Second hill - we'll be on that track to the right very soon

Third hill and the longest

Going through the tunnel

Coming back down from the highest point of the ride

The final lift of the layout

There's the track from the first section to our left

Almost to the top

There's the final helix into the station.
A great ride

Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster

Our third and final mountain (alpine in this case) coaster of the evening was the Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster

This was the OG of the coasters in the area and is still one of the longest

This coaster is more of the traditional type - a long lift to the hill and then a long course back down

It had been awhile since we had ridden this particular coaster, so we were looking forward to our ride

Here we go

It is a long ride to the top

Still climbing

Getting closer

While we really enjoy the multi-lift tracks, this one is a lot fun because the thrill of the hill is not interrupted until the final brake run.

Lost Mine Mountain Coaster

Our next mountain coaster of the night is the newest in Pigeon Forge - Lost Mine

This course features 4 lifts and a heavily themed course

We rode this coaster a couple times in the Spring, but never at night

The lights at night really make the place come alive

Love how they decorated the Ghost Town for Christmas at the very top of the course

This is such a great ride.  Very rarely is there a long line (unlike Rocky Top)
