Silver Dollar City - Project 2027

PROJECT 2027

The former observation deck for PowderKeg is completely gone now.
We have heard it will be back in a new form next season though.

Looking on down the hill from PowderKeg

Lots of tall footers have been installed on the hill next to the final lift of American Plunge

The area between Lumbercamp Falls and American Plunge's final drop has seen the most change from the end of last season

A giant rectangle footer is going in here.

Lots of footers over here.  We're guessing this is going to be a "spaghetti bowl" of track with lots of curves in one area.

Here's a look at that rectangle footer from the other side
You can see a couple of big footers going in next to the American Plunge tunnel on up the hill

The footers near the entrance to the American Plunge tunnel

Looks like only the base is done here with how tall the rebar is.  We are guessing that a round tube of cement will go on top still

Lots of equipment on this side of American Plunge's final lift

Lots of footers between American Plunge's final lift and WildFire

This area sure looks different now.  Pathway and hardscaping done on what was a cement water holding area last season.  You can even see the water is in the pond for American Plunge.  The boarded off entrance is where boats will be added or taken off

Very interesting on how it appears this area will be "on park".  Though I imagine a taller fence will be added at the back of this pond.

More footers have appeared just over the fence of the WildFire queue area next to the WildFire maintenance building

Electric tubes running down to a box where we will probably see a launch

Love how random this grove of trees looks in this barren construction area

A look back up where we started.
We have a feeling things are going to start moving very quickly now

Silver Dollar City - City Update

Lots of changes around the park this season.
We start up by PowderKeg, where the launch observation deck is now completely gone and there is a fence blocking the pathway.

Changes over by WildFire include a new open area where construction fences used to be

On the other side of the temporary fence you can see a red permanent fence that runs up to American Plunge

That fence continues on to the guest side of the construction fence

We're not really sure what this big box is, but we suspect it is covering a footer for the new ride

This area has been completely redone.  The planter has been removed and path has been shifted closer to the queue building for WildFire.

Looks like this will be a protective netting area for the new ride running over top of the pathway

On the alternate pathway to Lumbercamp from WildFire, they have redone this intersection.  The timber fence was removed and the construction fence now butts directly next to the pathway

They have fenced around the entrance to the cave portion of American Plunge.

New seat indicator stickers have arrived at The Giant Barn Swing.
One side is goats, the other is chickens

The drink stand has been removed near the entrance to the Fire District and the Silhouette artist has been moved here from the Grand Expo

A new Fireman's Cemetary has been installed near the train crossing in the Fire District

The funeral buggy has been moved over to its new location

Currently only three tombstones have been installed

More are coming

I'm hoping they ade them up a little

The restrooms near Time Traveler have been completely redone for this season

This is the Final season for ThuNderaTion

There's plenty of signage at the attraction to let you know this fact

They event have signage in line

Yes, the ride is extremely rough, but you only one more season to get your rides in

The new Patriotic Pop is now on tap across the park.
It is a very red Cherry Berry Cream flavor

New America 250 items on sale at the Ozark Market Place

More park exclusives on sale at the Ozark Market Place

Silver Dollar City - Spring Break

SPRING BREAK

Welcome to Spring Break at Silver Dollar City

All of the heavy hitters are running for the festival - including ThuNderaTion, which is celebrating its final season before being retired for good

Won't be long and you won't be able to get this view of Time Traveler anymore

Fire in the Hole is still demanding the longest lines at the park

Wildfire will have a new next door neighbor starting in the 2027 season

Even the water rides were up and running today

There are even shows during the Spring Break Festival - including the 25th Anniversary of the Perondi Stunt Dog Experience located in the Opera House

The show is always a lot of fun to watch as they have new dogs every season

It appeared to have the entire crew of trainers this year which was an added treat for their 25th season

Chris Stanley, comedy magician, was entertaing the crowds at the Boatworks Theater near the Fire District

Folk song duo, The Creek Rocks was taking residency at the Dockside Theater near the Smokehouse

It always fun to see the park come back to life after a long winter.  Flowers and trees are in bloom all over the park.  Silver Dollar City is once again HOME.
