Silver Dollar City - Project 2027

PROJECT 2027

Looking over the fence by PowderKeg's launch, we can see several markers sticking up

The area between PowderKeg and Wildfire has been cleared and leveled.  There are several markers out in this area

Here you can see the American Plunge channel, the whirl pool is on the other side of that orange fence

Again the orange fence is surrounding the whirlpool scene

Now looking at the front area.  This is the view from near PowderKeg of the area behind Lumbercamp Falls

The back of that area with American Plunge's lift

The current status of the "rock work" on the back of Lumbercamp Falls

It almost looks like there will be a connecting pathway between PowderKeg and American Plunge

On the other side of that area now, near American Plunge entrance.  You can see that the supports for additional rock work have been installed

Not much going on here near the extended tunnel

In case you forgot, here's that tunnel

Cement in front is the tunnel.  Rock work there in the middle of the photo.  More land grading going on the left of the photo.  Man is that dirt red.

Area between American Plunge and Wildfire.
Appears that a footer is being created

Yep.  Definitely a footer.  Interesting that they have removed the wall supports for most of the maintenance trough for American Plunge

Better view of the footer.  Looks like the tunnel before the lift on American Plunge has had its roof removed

See the tunnel roof is gone.  So are all of the trees that used to be in this area

They really flattened this area.  Also removed all of the support maintenance buildings for American Plunge

Footer being made

One last shot

One last shot of the clearing by Wildfire

Other than a larger pile of trees, not much change here

Better look at that pile

Crossing guard shack

Looks like they are still working on paving the new BOH road

Crazy how much new infrastructure they are adding

Six Flags St. Louis - Fright Fest

Welcome to Fright Fest at Six Flags St. Louis

At 6pm, the Freak Express arrives at St. Louis Station

Onboard are your biggest fears

Upon arrival at the station, the FREAKS are UNLEASHED

There's nowhere to hide now in the park.  Everywhere is a scare zone

Checking out the mazes at this year's Fright Fest
First is the Slaughter House located near the Mine Train

Slaughter House took the gold medal this year in our opinion.  It is definitely the longest, has the most freaks and some of the best scare technology

Oddball's Fun House is located near SuperGirl and took the bronze medal this year

While not scary, the maze features fun visuals and obstacles you get to overcome.  The moving floors and bungee cord room are definitely highlights

Creatures of the Corn is located near SkyScreamer and took the silver place medal for mazes this year

Don't be deceived by the small footprint of this maze as it is quite long and there were actually a lot of freaks in there.  Some fun visuals along the way made for a memorable experience

Jingle Mangle is located near First Cone and was our least favorite maze this year

Very few freaks, broken effects and just a very unimaginative layout with lots of dead space path really just kill the vibe for this maze

Checking out some of the scare zones now
This is Deadwood Pass

The Blood Bar has taken over Miss Kitty's

Very fun decor at the actual bar.  Just watch out for the resident vampires

ZombieVille is over by Spinsanity and Chop Six

The resident freaks were actually pretty good this year

The Underground has taken over the area by Batman

This is basically Gotham City themed and really works for the area

Sinister Clowns of the Black Top has taken over the area by the Log Flume

The freaks here were really good

Steam Punk Pumpkins in the DC Plaza area

Arbor Tunnel #1 is now Troll Bypass

Big troll in between the two arbor tunnels

Arbor Tunnel #2 is now Spider Alley.  There are actually two creepy spider freaks in this tunnel

Now for some fun decorations around the park

Near Mine Train

Hurricane Harbor gate

Palace Gardens

Fright Fest runs on select evenings now through November 2nd
