Time Traveler Construction (SDC)

Welcome back to Silver Dollar City.  A lot of progress has been done on the new coaster since our last update - and the view lines have improved a lot.

As you can see the old Echo Hollow restrooms and foundation has been removed completely.

These photos were taken from the ThuNderaTion queue line area.

A lot of footers have sprouted up in what I imagine will be the station area.

The construction butts right up next to the track of ThuNderaTion.

Peeking under the track you can see the footers better.

There are a bunch of footers.

Looking down into the clearing.

Hard to believe that this used to be a coaster in the woods.

Over on the back porch of the Culinary School you can see the main construction area.

Echo Hollow looks a lot different now with all of the trees removed.

Here you can see the valley where most of the coaster will go.
We'll be back next month with more photos.

Carr Excavating has released a new photo of the onsite construction.  You can see some major pylons have been created all over the hill.

Park Changes (WOF)

We are back with the last update before Thanksgiving at WOF

For the most part the demolition is nearing completion

All of the buildings are gone and now pavement and foundation is being dug up and demolished.

This used to be the home of both Tivoli West and Baltic Bazaar.
It looks so strange now - and they are not done changing the landscape.

City Changes (SDC)

Work continues down in Echo Hollow.  The restrooms have now been completely removed and all that is left is the foundation which you can see above.  This was taken from the Settler's Ridge picnic table area looking down the hill.  We imagine that the foundation will be torn out soon.

The new restrooms for Echo Hollow (located over by the Funnel Cake stand) now have a roof.  This is the view from over by the Frisco Barn looking down into the area.  We'll try to get a better shot of the area from the back porch next week, but it is promising to finally see some more work being done.

Park Changes (WOF)

Clean up is still on going from all of the demolition work.  Still hard to believe that this was the ticketing area as it looks quite different now.

They've made some progress on the clean up.  The area where Tivoli West was located is now mostly cleaned up.  The rubble in the background is from the Baltic Bazaar.

This is just crazy to look at.  Considering all of these now removed buildings have been here my entire lifetime.  However sometimes progress requires drastic changes.

Clean up is a messy job but the future is very bright for this area.

Park Changes (WOF)

The ticket booths and gate are now completely gone.

The fence on the berm was also removed.

Here's the rarely seen berm.  The blue building is the current Guest Relations.

This is the remains of the Tivoli West Catering Building.  In the background is the Tivoli East Catering Building (or what we refer to as the former Sky High terminal)

Some people asked and yes, Fjord Fjairlane is still in place.  The sun wasn't cooperating, but it is there in the background past the rubble.

Here we have the remains of both Tivoli West and the Baltic Bazaar shopping complex.  In the background you can see the Plaza Giftshop.  A little further back is Chickie's and Pete's.

Park Changes (WOF)

We're in the process now of taking down the gate area.  All of the hardware has been removed and the gate awning roof has been separated from the First Aid Building.

The awning remains are now almost cleaned up and the next step is to take out the ticket booths.

Zooming out a little you can see just how much this deconstruction has opened up the area.

Park Changes (WOF)

Things are starting to happen at the front gate area of Worlds of Fun.  The dinosaur has been removed and put into "hibernation" until things calm back down.

The canopy came down today.  The next step is to clear the area.  Keep with us as this will be a process spanning several days this week.
