Silver Dollar City - Project 2027

PROJECT 2027

Time to check in on the progress of SDC's new project

Things look like they are about to get serious with the appearance of a crane near the station foundation

There are some many footers just over that hill, it's insane

More footers and equipment keep showing up in this area

More forms have arrived and a lift

They have added fill dirt around the larger footer and leveled off this aea

More footers being formed

They had to dig out this side of the American Plunge tunnel to put in footers.  It will probably be filled in and leveled off by the time we visit again

Again, the amount of footers in this area is crazy

Other side now, more footers being built

Any idea on the layout yet?  Trust me, whatever you draw won't be anywhere near what the final product will look like

They are not missing around with these footers.  Lots of extra support

Building up another footer here

These are really close to the switch back pathway near Lumber Camp

No changes here.  Still just random wooden beams up in the air

We still think this little lake is cute

They have built up this rock wall here and it makes up think that they will connect the water to the other side of the pathway again, soon.

Footers being formed here in the foreground

Station work seems to be growing

You can see that the forms are helping to expand the foundation walls

Another footer

Footers dotting the hillside past the trees

They really are everywhere

Here are those footers right next to the Wildfire maintenance building that we've shown in the past

There is some movement in that second clearing.  Maybe they are getting ready to start putting footers in here?

Some construction components have been staged just around the corner here (to the right).  They can be seen from Outlaw Run.  No track and they are not big enough to be track supports, but they could possibly be something related to the ride.

Silver Dollar City - City Update

The Saloon Show featured a couple of swings this Saturday.

Still a great show - and nice to see that the quality doesn't diminish when the regulars have the day off

Some additions to the Flooded Mine.
The jackhammer guy is new and replaces the old one

A new guy in a barrel has been added to the dynamite scene

An otter appears with cinnamon bread in the graveyard scene

Ducks and duck noises have been added to the final scene you see before returning to load

They finally gave up having anything in this spot near the Wave Carousel.  It was a High Striker game at one point

More additions to the Firefighters Memorial Cemetery.  Including more headstones and flowers

Finally a sign was added near the water feature and additional flowers surrounding it
