There are some fun new decorations in the Rivertown area of the park

Sadly there will be no Sing-a-long Train this season.

Frisco Barn is home once again to Jingle Bell Junction

City Update (SDC)

 

The supports for the dining pavilion being referred to as "Lumber Camp 2" are about to go up

When completed, this patio will resemble what was constructed next to the Smokehouse

Here is a look at the rest of the construction site.  The far side will be the new Furniture Factory and Showroom

The foundation is going in for the new Fried Flossie's

Lumber for the new dining patio roof has been staged and should go up soon

Fire in the Hole (SDC)

 

Facade work continues on the outside of the gravity building to help it blend in more with Fireman's Landing

It will be interesting to see if they continue the facade work on this end too as it is very visible from inside the park

An Old Time Christmas - Food (SDC)

 

The Christmas Tasting Passport costs $32 + tax for park guests.  Season passholders get 10% off and Gold passholders get 20 % the price.  Once purchased you can get 5 tastings from the list of options on the back.  We are going to show you our selections from today

TURKEY CALICO SKILLET

Hatfield's Tater Patch

Thoughts: This skillet is a great twist on a SDC favorite.  Extremely flavorful. The size of the portion alone is reason enough to try this option

Buckshot's Skillet Cookery

Thoughts: Please keep in mind that the tasting does not come in a bread bowl like the full serving - however, it is basically the same portion of stew.  Very warm and flavorful.  Surprisingly filling

Lady Liberty Dining Pavilion

Thoughts: This was our only "dud" of the day and that was mainly because the serving portion was super small compared to everything else.  The taste of everything was fine, just not much there.

Thoughts: This was amazing.  Super yummy and a very large portion

Lumbercamp Falls Skillet

Thoughts: This is their normal sausage skillet. There's nothing special for the season about it - but that doesn't change the fact that it is very yummy.  If you have had it before this might be a pass so you can get something different, but if you are looking for an old reliable on the pass this is it

Thoughts: The sample portion is about half what the dumplings have been in previous years.  I noticed that a "full portion" is two of these pouches.  Regardless this was delicious.  The ice cream makes it even better

Thoughts: The overall product was very good.  We were disappointed with the size of the portion.  In the past we have received two scoops with the tasting.  This was only one scoop

Flying Viking (Adventureland)

 

Track for Flying Viking has arrived at the park

Since the coaster is not very long, this might be almost all of the track

Really diggin' the yellow track.

Zambezi Zinger (WOF)

 

Zambezi Zinger has officially gone vertical.  While this doesn't seem like much, you have to remember that most of this course will be very tight to the terrain.  This shows just how close the track will be in some places.

Worlds of Fun and Great Coasters International unveiled the lead car of the brand new Infinity Flyer train for the brand new Zambezi Zinger at IAAPA today in Orlando, Florida.

The detailing on this train is amazing

Yes, the headlights are functional

The design is next level for the park

Flying Viking & Draken Falls (Adventureland)

 

We finally have some updated site plans for the two new rides and it is interesting to see how the two rides will interact with each other.  Here we can see the entrance and you can see the load for Draken Falls on the right.  Flying Viking will load upstairs
