Splash Country Indoors Waterpark

Welcome to Splash Country Indoors Waterpark located at the Grand Country Resort

The waterpark features two buildings full of water activities

The original building is dominated by a large water play structure that features a tipping water bucket

The structure also features two twisty slides

In addition to the already mentioned activities, there are lots of different water splashing elements that you can trigger to splash other guests

There are two body slides also in this building.  The red slide features a more gentle ride experience while the blue slide features a double down ending.  Both slides are enclosed for the most part and feature light patterns

The final attraction (besides the kiddie pools and hot tubs) in this area is a lazy river which can be found on the lowest level of the original building.

The second building (which just recently opened) features some more extreme attractions.

Here you can see the giant wave pool that takes up a good portion of the building.  Just beyond it is a basketball goal activity pool.

Finally there is a trio of tube slides at the back of the building.  The blue and yellow slides are timed racers slides that have both open and enclosed sections.  The green slide is a completely dark enclosed tube slide.  Riders can ride any of the slides on either a single or double tube

Super Splash USA - Construction Update

Time to check back in on the progress being made at Super Splash USA

Since our last time by the park, it looks like they have made significant progress on the new Patriot Plunge mat racers

With the American flag proudly placed at the top, I think we can safely assume that the ride has been topped off

It appears that most of the slide is now in place and the workers on the lift seem to be tightening up bolts to finish off the build

I have to say that this was a great location for the slide.  Very noticeable from the highway and it definitely has the locals talking

Oasis - Construction Update

So the news came out that the park opening is now being pushed back to 2026

Looking at the current state of the park, that doesn't seem like a huge surprise

Progress is being made on the infrastructure still, but it is obvious the focus has shifted

The shift has been to the second peninsula where the former time shares have been removed finally and the retaining walls are stating to go in.  This is where the hotel and indoor waterpark will be located

The latest report is that they are still hoping to have the docks ready to go for the Shoot Out this summer - and that is there pressing "goal" to complete.

According to this same report, most of the rides have actually already arrived and are being held off site.  It will be nice to see them start to be installed hopefully this summer

Super Splash USA - Construction Update

Welcome back to Super Splash USA (formerly Big Surf )
As promised at their press event, work has started already on the new mat racer slide

A large pile of dirt from recent excavations on this new expansion

The footers for the top deck of the mat racer are currently going in.

We're not really sure what this is, but it is a very large tube or roll of something

Here you can see the footers for the supports of the bunny hops and run out of the new mat racer.  The mat racer will be located to the east of the parking lot in a new section of the park

Silver Dollar City - Park Update

A new billboard has appeared on the backside of Fire in the Hole's gravity building advertising the new resort that will be opening in 2026.

Lots of progress is happening where the new Plaza (park expansion connecting Grand Expo to the Fire District) will be located for the 2025 season

A new access road for M&C has been constructed to the right of the Fire in the Hole gravity building.  I would imagine that a new "parade gate" will be located here and that is where the Christmas Parade will launch from starting next season

This is the backside of Red Gold Heritage Hall.  It will be interesting to see how much BOH room will be left here along this wall.

We are looking forward to seeing what all they do with this area, which will become each festival's main hub of activity during the season.  An exciting evolution in the history of SDC

While this lamp might not seem like much, this is a very nice addition to help out the citizens working Time Traveler.  This light flashes when it is time for the next group of riders to ascend to the loading deck.  Before this addition, the grouper had to listen for the chimes, but when it really busy those can be easy to miss with all of the noise of talking gueses.

Silver Dollar City

First park of 2025 is Silver Dollar City!!!

Wildfire was open first so we went there and had a couple great laps

Outlaw Run was next and it was hauling today

Barn Swing was only running one arm, but it was still a walk on

Engine 14 was doing the pulling today.  She's so pretty

Thanks again to the park for being open an extra week this year - that allowed some great night rides.
You know we took advantage of PowderKeg

Time Traveler in the dark is something special too
(and yes we totally took several laps on the GOAT Outlaw Run in the dark)

By the way, Happy 2025.  We are looking forward to a great new year of riding

A little sadness now - the last snowball of the season

Thank you SDC for a great season.  We will see you in March
