Six Flags America

Welcome to Six Flags America

Let's head on into the park

Pretty nice statue at the end of the main street area

First coaster of the day would be Wild One

This coaster was built in 1917, so it's been around for awhile.

The structure pretty much dominates the skyline on this side of the park.

Care to drop in?

Of course I rode ALL of the coasters here.
This is the Great Chase

I will always take the time to ride a "flying dutchman"
This one is called Pirate's Flight

Some bizarre animals on this carousel

Let's head into Gotham City

BATMAN!

I think it's time to ride...

Joker's Jinx!

After launching down a long piece of track from the station...

You wind up in this cluster knot of track

Good luck trying to figure out the course layout.

That's Penguin's Blizzard River.  Only the 2nd version of this ride
I have ever seen - with the other being at Adventureland in Iowa.

Time to ride SUPERMAN: RIDE of STEEL

Climbing up the initial hill

The course really goes out into the middle of nowhere

There is some violent pops of air in this section

You are launched out of your seat on the first drop

The train coming back to the station

Next up is BATWING

This is a Vekoma flying coaster

This is the third version of this ride I've been on.

Like the other two, it takes forever to load.

I just find these coasters awkward - and not really much fun to ride.

They have a Thomas the Train themed area.  Say "HI" to James.

This is High Seas.

Shipwreck Falls makes a huge splash.

Our next coaster would be ROAR!

This is a GCI built wooden twister.

It really hauls through the course.

The only draw back is that it is a little rough in a few sections

Speaking of rough... next was the Mind Eraser.

This Vekoma built torture device is known as a SLC.

That's Suspended Looping Coaster.

Definitely a head-banger.  Ouch!

Well time to head out.  Had a decent day at SFA.
