Yesterday a grease fire spread among several of the buildings at the bottom of Hill Street in the park
The fire started in the Pork Rinds building and quickly spread to Flossie's Fried Fancies and to the nearby Furniture store.
The shops in the Lumber Camp area were not effected
The park has the area walled off and they are now in the process of taking down the remains of the destroyed structures
They are wasting no time and having equipment on site working right now
There is really nothing salvageable from the three buildings
So sad and unfortunate that this historic area of the park was lost.
The park has plans to rebuild but did not release what they new area will look like yet
