Fantasyland - Magic Kingdom

Welcome to Fantasyland

The main marquee attraction in this section is the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

This rollercoaster is extremely popular and commands very long lines due to the low height restrictions.  You might notice that it has some special carts that swing out around corners.

Inside the mountain you get to watch the Dwarfs working in their mine before heading home

Beware the witch at the end of the ride

This is Be Our Guest Restaurant.  That's the Beast's Castle on top.

Gaston's Tavern

The Voyage of the Little Mermaid

The Ursula audio animatronic is extremely impressive

Another fun scene on this ride

Tigger was hanging around the Pooh ride

The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is another great dark ride

Prince Charming's Regal Carousel

it's a small world

While the song is a definite "ear worm"

The ride itself is quite enjoyable

Dumbo the Flying Elephant

The Barnstormer

The Mad Tea Party

Finally the other marquee attraction in the area is Peter Pan's Flight.  This dark ride commands some very long lines.

Main Street USA - Magic Kingdom

Welcome to the Magic Kindgom - seriously, this place is really magical

I always thought that was a cool addition to the entry arches

The Magic Kingdom Christmas tree looks great

Mystic River Falls (SDC)

It took a little longer than we expected, but the new elevator lift tower has gone vertical

Mystic River Falls (SDC)

They have made a lot of progress on the load station.  Looks like they even have some color on the walls.  You will also notice that the entrance pathway is ready for its bridge to connect to the midway

Peeking through you can see there are a lot of light poles waiting to be made into lights.  Also this area is where the entrance for the ride is supposed to be located

Still some work to be done in this area with regards to landscaping.  The bridge over the cave section can be seen on the left.

This area looks to be complete.  There will be some rushing water entering the trough where those cement poles are sticking up

The sluice continues to grow

One last look a the area that is currently being worked on.  We imagine that the tower for the lift should be going vertical very soon

Rivertown Smokehouse (SDC)

The fence in front of the Smokehouse has been moved back and is actually right on the side of building now

The southeast dining area is coming together

The northwest dining area is nearing completion

They already have paint on it - and now they are awaiting the installation of the roof

Joy On Town Square (SDC)

New for 2019 is Joy on Town Square

While the tree is the main centerpiece of Joy, most of the buildings and several of the trees in the area have been covered with color changing LED lights

No more just "on and off" functioning of the area lights.  They now change colors along with the main tree.

Speaking of the tree.  It's really tall.  8 stories to be exact

Here are some photos of different patterns it created while we were watching

This is an amazing upgrade from past seasons.  Definitely check it out
