Mystic River Falls (SDC)

The park is conducting some super secret testing on a smaller mock up of what the slide portion of the new Lost River will be like in the employee parking lot closest to 76 behind Red Gold Heritage Hall.

While not testing was taking place today, there were rafts nearby that suggest that some testing had taken place this past week.  The new Lost River will be a SDC-built ride so it makes sense that testing of mock up is already taking place.

Cotton Blossom BBQ (WOF)

Worlds of Fun released a new video of the progress on Cotton Blossom BBQ.  These are stills taken from the video.  This first still is from across RipCord Lake looking at the new eatery.

Appears to be an exit door

Lots of windows on this front side.  That should let in some nice natural lighting.

This will be the entrance door to the new eatery.

Looking down the road to Patriot Landing.  The old Americana Food Court would have been to the right of this photo.

Looking back towards Americana Star Fountain Plaza and Front Street Shops

Now for some progress photos inside.

Looking back towards the kitchen.

Looking out of the kitchen towards the serving area.

The serving area.

Finally this is the register area.  I imagine the drink dispensers will be on the far wall much like how there are in the similar restaurant that's at Kings Island

Skyscraper (The Tracks)

Progress continues at the site of the new Skyscraper Ride at Track 3.  The footer is complete and it appears that they are ready to start installing the ride any day now.

Parts for the ride are now on site.  That bright yellow is going to really make this ride visible on the Strip.

Here is the motor which the arms will attach to.

Lots of tower pieces ready to go up.

Track 4 (The Tracks)

At Track 4 (home of Heavy Metal Highrise) the newly refurbished bumper boat pool is looking more like a pool.

They have a lot of extra space here to add something else if they want to.

So much room for activities.

They still need to fill in around the pool, but it is definitely getting closer to being ready.

America's Fun Park

Hey.  Remember that new amusement park that opened in Branson last year and was open for less than a month before it closed for good?  Well it's an empty lot now.

Other than the main building and some random shade structures and power boxes.  There's nothing there.

This would be where Windstorm and the swings were located.

The crazy thing is that there are still some random rides in pieces in the parking lot.  I'll admit that I had fun the one time I was able to visit and its a shame that the owners were not forward thinking enough to make it work.  It'll be interesting to see how long the lot remains vacant.

Cotton Blossom BBQ (WOF)

We took a drive by WOF today to see if we could see the new Cotton Blossom Bar B Que from outside the park.  We weren't disappointed.

The new restaurant is very visible from Worlds of Fun Drive.

The next few photos are different angles of the building showing off where exactly it is located.

This place is definitely going to change the sightlines from the inside the park this year.

Park Update (Schlitterbahn KC)

We stopped by Schlitterbahn KC today to see if anything is happening.  The most obvious change is that Verruckt is finally gone.

This is roughly where the large tower for the ride would have been.

Other than that, there is literally nothing going on at the park.

Again here is where the tower would have been, just to the right of the building.

So thankfully, that slide is no longer standing.

And now we wait to see if this park will ever open again.
The loudest rumors are saying that IF it opens again it won't be a Schlitterbahn park anymore.

Eli (WOF)

Eli is currently on a trip to Pennsylvania where he will receive a new steam boiler engine.  This upgrade will allow the train to provide more rides with fewer water breaks.  This is a huge move for the park and we applaud their efforts in preserving this classic attraction.
