Epcot - Future World

Welcome to EPCOT.  This update will focus on Future World.

We will start out in Future World West.  Our first pavilion of the day will be The Land.

Once you enter the pavilion you are greeted by what appears to be an airport terminal.

The main attraction here is Soarin' Around the World.  A simulator type ride where you board a "hang glider" that then goes "into" a domed IMAX screen.

The other main attraction is Living with the Land.  A boat ride that takes you into a greenhouse that features some unique growing technology.

The next pavilion is Imagination

Imagination features an "upside down" waterfall outside the main building.

The main attraction is Journey into Imagination with Figment.

The ride is very hard to explain and really must be experienced to fully appreciate it.

Though, even then, you might still be confused as to what is going on.

Seriously.  Anyone have a clue what is going on here?

The final pavilion in Future World West is The Seas with Nemo & Friends.

They have a really cool display of the main characters from Nemo outside the pavilion.

You enter the pavilion here where you board The Seas with Nemo & Friends Attraction (yes that is seriously what it is called).

You ride in a clam shell buggy which takes you past different projections of the Nemo characters and past a few of the actual aquariums of the Living Seas.

Once you arrive at the Sea Base you get to walk around and check out the different aquariums.  This is the manatee exhibit.

The main tank is huge and has several large sharks and numerous other fish species.

Turtle Talk with Crush is always an entertaining show.

Crush interacts with the guests of the show.  It is different every time.

Bruce's Hideaway is a great place for some photo ops.

A few more of the different aquatic displays before we move on.

My bubbles.

The giant "golf ball" at the center of Future World is home to Spaceship Earth.

Inside there is a ride that covers the history of communication.

The best part of the ride is that you are inside the "golf ball".  The actual ride is pretty boring.

Moving on to Future World East we start with Mission Space.  This pavilion is home to two different experiences.  Green Mission is a less intense experience that takes you on a loop around Earth.  Orange Mission is a much more intense experience that takes you to Mars.  Both are fun.

The final pavilion in Future World East is Test Track.  Here you take a car through a digital world of vehicle testing that ends with a speed test lap around the outside of the building.

In Communicore (center portion of Future World) you can visit Club Cool sponsored by Coca-Cola.

Here you can test different Coke flavors from around the world.  Make sure you try out Beverly.  No really it's amazing.

The other main attraction in Communicore is Character Spot where you can meet several of the main Disney characters - like Mickey Mouse.

Goofy.

Minnie Mouse.

You can also meet Baymax from Big Hero 6

You can also meet Sadness and Joy from Inside Out.

With that we end our coverage of Future World.

Check out the other parts of our Epcot coverage.
