Ever since the news broke that California's Great America was living on "borrowed time" we have made it a priority to get to the Bay Area to visit it one last time before it closed.
Columbian Carousel
We of course had to ride on the upper level
Celebration Swings
Gold Striker - GCI wooden coaster. Great layout, horrible ride experience due to roughness
RailBlazer - an intense RMC Raptor
This thing does not let up the entire course
Patriot - retrofitted B&M that used to be a stand up but is now a floorless
Demon - Arrow Dynamics looping coaster
Berserker - Bayern Curve (one of only a handful remaining)
Mission Falls
Grizzly - probably the most "mid" wooden coaster out there
Drop Tower
Psycho Mouse - Arrow Dynamics
Pacific Flyers
Centrifuge
Woodstock's Express
Delirium
Mass Effect - this was a combo 4D and live action show. It was pretty interesting
Rip Roaring Rapids
The Orbit
Flying Eagles
Flight Deck - B&M inverted
This is one of the smaller B&M inverteds out there but it has a great original layout
Really like that the park still operates their Von Roll Skyride
It takes you from the Orleans section to the County Fair section (or vice versa)
Coming in for a landing in the County Fair section
California's Great America is a really pretty park and it is quite sad that this will be our last time ever visiting the park. This was only our second visit ever (our last visit was 15 years ago). It will be interesting to see what becomes of the rides that call this park home
