Silver Dollar City - Project 2026 Construction

PROJECT 2026

The backside of the Lumbercamp Falls has started to receive its new facade.  This is a very heavy "tarp" like fabric that molds to the frame work.

It appears that they have roughly half of the structure covered so far

Here you can see the front section of the new ride's layout.  This will be where the station is located

Basically right here in the center is where the station will go

On the left you can see where they still need to put up facade material for the backside of Lumbercamp Falls.  The station, again, will be basically in the middle of this photo

Looking at the backside of the front area of the ride footprint

On the Wildfire side of American Plunge you can see the former trough of Jim Owen's float trip again.  They have removed all of the old buildings in this area.  They have added some more steel there along the trough and some new large rocks have been added on the shoreline

A look at the posts

This was a large mound of dirt last time we were here

A new marker on the pathway to the entrance of Wildfire

A marker in the flower bed just outside of Wildfire's entrance

All the support buildings for American Plunge are gone.  You can see the clearing just over the walls

There appeared to be a form being put in on the other side of this wall.  You could see if from both coasters.  Not saying it is a footer, but it is definitely a form for something

Interesting addition out on the far helix clearing for the new ride

The new Back of House (BOH) road is pretty serious looking.  They have added black top to it in order to be able to support equipment coming in.  Also when the track and supports arrive they will go straight to site this time

Control booth has been added.  I am guessing this is to make sure it is clear for equipment to cross the train tracks

Seriously cannot get over the scale of this new BOH roadway
AND for the record, NO it does not go to the new Resort.
