Holiday World

Welcome to Holiday World.  It has been awhile since we visited this park

The first section you enter is Christmas.
Side note, really like the new entrance portal arches they added for this season

Even Santa thinks that it is really warm today

The Christmas section looks really nice.  We just wish that there was an attraction or two that catered to the "non-kiddieland" audience

Taking the Express Route through the park, our next section was Thanksgiving

They have really built up this area since our last visit.
Turkey Twirl remains the cutest tilter in existence and we just love Gobbler Getaway

We found this Sally darkride to be well maintained.  The targets were easy to hit and most of the movements on the ride were functional

Mayflower was new since our last visit.  Really good swinging ship ride

After hearing all about it for a season, we finally made it on the best themed Junior Boomerang in existence.  That queue is amazing and the "larger than life" items outside were hysterical

Like, just look at this can.  Just amazing

The Voyage is running amazingly this season

Well... at least in the front row.  We refuse to ride wooden coasters in any other row

Thunderbird was down... apparently it has been down most of this week and won't be open any time soon

We decided to drown our sorrows of not getting to ride Thunderbird by visiting Plymouth Rock Cafe for lunch.  What a great meal.  This is our "go-to" restaurant when we visit the park

Time to head into the 4th of July section

Revolution

Eagle's Flight

Liberty Launch

Firecracker

Rough Riders

Star-Spangled Carousel

We decided to take a stroll through Holidog's Fun Town since we were in the area

Side note, why don't they move all of the kiddie rides to this section from the Christmas section?  Anyway, this area is definitely just for the little ones.

There was zero waiting for the Howler so we did a lap on it because the attendant said we could

There's a cute train that circles the area and takes you by Mother Goose story vignettes

Final section of the park - Halloween

We started with Raven, which is the original of the three wooden coasters at the park

Honestly, we didn't enjoy our rides very much.  Even in the front, this coaster is way too rough on the run back to the station to be enjoyable

HallowSwings remains one of our favorite designs for a wave carousel

Scarecrow Scrambler looked amazing.  I'm not sure how recent it was repainted, but the colors really popped

Now it was time for the best coaster at the park - The Legend

The ride was really smooth (again in the front) and the pacing is perfect

One last ride in the section - Frightful Falls.  It is kind of hidden away, but a fun log flume

We had a great (yet extremely warm) day at Holiday World
Those free drinks really came in handy today - I guess we didn't realize that the drink deal debuted the same season that The Legend was added to the park.
Until Next Time
