Silver Dollar City - Project 2027

PROJECT 2027

Looks like some pavement work is being done next to the PowderKeg launch building

All sorts of rebar is now in place nex to the launch

Still a large pallet of forms waiting to be used

It looks like they've been busy burying footer foundations

Lots of burying has happened here.
Also interesting how they have left a "valley" between the new rockwork and the construction area. (we'll show you from the other side here in a bit)

Looking towards the American Plunge lift and we're happy to report that tunnel for American Plunge has finally been properly buried

It is crazy how much this area has changed even since our last visit.

Here's a look at the now buried footers from the other side

There's a giant new footer there in the middle

Close up of the buried footers

Here's that ravine I was talking about.  Do you think the water feature will go this way as well? I'm not sure why they have left it like this

One last look at this side of the site

Now over by Wildfire, you can see how they have water flowing again under the walkway.  You can also see the queue area for the new ride

Water feature is now full again and the queue line pathway

Backside of the water feature.  Interesting black tube there

This will probably be off stage when everything is done

There are literally footers everywhere in this photo

Seriously.  Everywhere.

This area has probably changed the most since our last visit

This is the station and maintenance building for the ride

Apparently load will be on this side and then the maintenance area on the far side.
We're most interested in what appears to be supports for track on top of the structure

Large boulders were being brought in today for landscaping

Very active worksite today

It looks like there is a lot more gravel in the clearing (the one without footers) this time

Lots of truck traffic through this area today.
Still no track or supports though
