50th Anniversary (SFSTL)

Welcome to Six Flags St. Louis' 50th Anniversary Celebration

They event changed the sign on the icon

Lots of decorations in the Fountain Plaza area

A "cake" can be found on the porch of the Palace Theatre

The Emporium has all of your 50th gear

Tissue paper flowers making a comeback

Look at all that merchandise

Elsewhere around the park are signs that show how things used to be in that location

There are actually quite a few, but this only a small sample

Park Update (SFSTL)

Time to do an update on the projects at SFSTL.
First up, the new plaza is complete in the Batman queue area.  Now all they are waiting on is to install the Batmobile.  No idea on the timeline for that

The Carousel has been completely stripped of everything.  Hopefully this means that they are making good progress on the renovation of the ride.

Bugs Bunny Fort Fun is being refreshed

New ropes and chains are being installed to replace aging ones

Since Fort Fun sat unused last year, little to no upkeep was completed on it

Once this renovation is complete, the fort will be much safer

The first car of the train that sits up above the Mine Train queue has returned after being renovated.  Other cars will return as they get completed.

Finally, the train is back.  The bridge replacement by Thunder River is complete and now you can take round trip scenic voyages around the park.

Hurricane Harbor St. Louis

Finally made it to Hurricane Harbor St. Louis this season

As expected, the park doesn't have all of its attractions open like Bonzai Pipeline which never seems to be open even though at most it takes 2 guards to run

Everyone was in the wave pool

The lazy river was really busy today too - I just happened to catch a rare gap in people

Is there anything more terrifying that going down backwards into the giant funnel on Tornado?

Never mind.  Going down backwards on this is just as terrifying.

I'm still unbeaten on this thing

I love this slide, but it takes forever to get on it.  The line moves soooooo slow

Green or Teal for the win on this slide complex.

Bye

Adventure Cove (HHSTL)

We are nearing the end of July and Adventure Cove is nowhere near ready to open

Progress has been made ... just not enough

They kept the slides from the old waterfortress.  They did, however, completely refurbish them

Promo art on the construction fence

Lots of work still to be done

You'll notice that there is no large bucket on this new waterfortress

So with this still being worked on - do you think they will even try to open it this season?

Our prediction is that this now a "New for 2022" attraction

Star-Spangled Summer (SDC)

Welcome to Star-Spangled Summer at Silver Dollar City

The Frisco Barn is Fun Junction during the festival

Lots of toys and other things to purchase

There is also a dinosaur in here

Harlem Globetrotter merchandise is also available for purchase here

Speaking of Harlem Globetrotters, they are back for the summer.

The show takes place in the Red Gold Heritage Hall and features 5 players

It is a really great family show that features skills and comedy

The Globetrotters will be at the park through the end of Moonlight Madness (August 8)
