Zambezi Zinger (SDC)

 

The land clearing and leveling at the Zambezi Zinger site continues to grow

This appears to be a runoff mitigation fence to help protect the creek.

They seem to be still pulling up old footers from the original Zinger in this section

Lots of old footers and other pieces of concrete piled up

The former Chamber of Horrors building is now gone.

Still several dumpsters on site

We might start seeing work on the new footers soon

On the other side of the tracks now, you can see that they have runoff fences over here too

This area seems like it is about done being leveled

Still some work to do be done over here apparently

It appears that the new ride will be pretty close to Fury of the Nile.  That is an observation tower for the ride in this photo

We cannot wait to start seeing this ride go vertical in the near future

City Update (SDC)

The Lumber Camp project continues to grow with some massive new footers being created

This area used to be brush and the switch back walkway

The Lake has been drained so they can build this retaining wall

If you want to sit with a view of the drained Lake you can

Lots of fill gravel

This area is going to look completely different next season

The new parking lots for SDC on 76 are massive

Watch them be completely filled when Christmas rolls around

Some interesting developments over by the Lumbercamp

The only way to get to Wildfire now is past American Plunge via the duplicating lathe pathway

The Wildfire arch is no longer - and the zigzag pathway is also gone

This whole area has been cleared and leveled

This area is about to look a lot different

Zambezi Zinger (WOF)

 

A new screen playing the promo video for Zambezi Zinger has appeared near the entrance for the new ride.

Let's take a look at the construction clearing

This has been really cleared out since Monday

You can see that they are working at the top of this hill

It really is amazing how much they have cleared

The area near Boomerang is really cleared out

If you take a closer look you can see that they are pulling up some old footers from the old Zambezi Zinger

I cannot wait for this thing to go vertical
