Welcome to Dollywood
We started our day off with Lightning Rod
Boy was it haulin' today
This quadruple down is by far my favorite part of the ride.
Cinderella was working today for the Dollywood Railroad
We normally only get to ride behind Klondike Katie when we visit, so it was nice to see her near twin out today. She has a great whistle.
This is probably one of my favorite views in the park and it can only be seen properly from the train.
We headed down into County Fair after our ride on the train.
For some reason, Scramblers are my father's favorite flat ride, so we had to tap a spin
Swings are my mother's favorite flat ride, so that's where we went next.
Well... you have to ride the Carousel. It's like a rule or something
My parents had never experienced the joy of watching Heartsong before, so I forced them to go to the show.
If you've never experienced Heartsong before, I won't spoil it. Those that have experienced Heartsong know exactly what I'm talking about when I say "butterflies"
You know, if you operate both arms on Barnstormer, you wouldn't have a full queue house and a line spilling out onto the midway.
Making our way around the loop, we stopped to ride the classic, Blazing Fury
Tennessee Tornado is always a great ride. That tunnel on the first drop is very disorienting.
Heading up into the coaster themed section of the park
Our family's favorite ride at the park - Wild Eagle
We'd gladly take it home with us to SDC
Fire Chaser Express is another great coaster
It doesn't try to be anything more than just fun - and that's what we like about it.
A nice fountain (with a rainbow) where the splash battle used to be located
Mystery Mine was never open during our visit. Oh well, we'll catch it next time.
Also not open, the new Wildwood Grove section of the park
We'll have to get the Dragonflier credit on our next visit.
Drop Line is a lot of fun. I wish they'd add one to SDC in the Lumber Camp area.
Whistle Punk Chaser was a new ride for us. We had a good time.
Thunderhead received some new wood since our last visit.
Sadly, you could definitely tell the difference between the parts that have been worked on and the parts that have not. It used to be such a fun coaster and now it's a "one-and-done"
We always enjoy our visits to Dollywood. Cannot wait to visit again in the future
