City Changes (SDC)

Silver Dollar City is ready to start sharing details about the other new projects happening in the Time Traveler area.  Here a park spokesperson is standing in from of the new Time Traveler store next to the ADA entrance (on his right) and the exit from the ride itself.

Valley Road has been rerouted for the new season.  It now does a curve just past the new Time Traveler store and then hugs the top of the hill that is above Echo Hollow.  To get your bearings, last year this was a shaded area with green picnic tables.  They have expanded the pathway, it was not nearly this big last season.

We're now back over by the Christmas store looking down Valley Road towards Frisco Barn.  The road, as mentioned above, now curves to the right past the Time Traveler gift show (the green building on the right side of the photo).  You can see the new Big Skillet on the left and the new chicken sandwich show straight ahead in the middle of the photo.

The new Big Skillet shop sits right next to Cowboy Jepp's across the former pathway down to the Frisco Train Depot and Flooded Mine Entrance.  There is a new covered dining patio directly behind it, which will give you views of Flooded Mine while you eat.

The new chicken sandwich, rumored to be called Buckshot Annie's.  If you look past the new tree on the right side of this photo you can see the Frisco Barn and the old Waterboggan tower.  Echo Hollo is immediately to our right.

America's Fun Park - New for 2018

COMING SOON - Branson's Newest Amusement Park, AMERICA'S FUN PARK.  The park will be opening at 1157 West Highway 76 in Brason's Entertainment District.  This park is opening on the former site of the Branson Heights Shopping Center which was severely damaged by the tornado that hit the area a few years ago.

A park spokesperson stated that the park will have several rides including a rollercoaster, carousel, swings, ferris wheel and several other rides.  The rides and midway will be operated by a carnival vendor and will be set up for the season at the location.

The park will be free admission, but will have wristbands for purchase ($20 adults, $14 children) for the rides.  Hours for the park have been released as 10am-10pm Weekdays and 10am-Midnight on Weekends.

The park is hoping to be open for business by Memorial Day Weekend.

Bernie's Barnyard (Adventureland)

Today the park released a pencil drawing of how the new Bernie's Barnyard expansion will be laid out.  On the left side of the photo you can see flags which will be where you enter from the County Fair section (near Tornado).

In the upper portion you can see the new Junior Jockeys (Pony Trek ride).  On the right center of photo you can see Shakin' Bacon (Crazy Couch).  At the bottom is the new playground with "zero depth access" for the mobility-impaired.  There is also a Toddler play area which we have not seen artwork for yet.

This looks like it will be a nice addition to the park and especially for families.

Things have really changed around Time Traveler.  There is now a new Skillet restaurant across the former path down to Flooded Mine that is right next to Cowboy Jepp's.  You can also see all of the new pavement that has replaced all of the asphalt.

There is a second restaurant (which will feature chicken sandwiches) that has popped up as well.  You can also see some of the new trees they have brought in to help replace all of the shade that was removed.

Here's a better look at the new chicken sandwich restaurant (which is rumored to be named Buckshot Annie's).  These two new restaurants will help replace the 3 that were removed (Big Skillet, Poke Salad, and Buckshot).  Another thing that you'll notice is that the new pathway makes a winding curve now which hugs the new Echo Hollow berm wall.

It will definitely be interesting to see how this entire area turns out.

Time Traveler (SDC)

Time Traveler is busy putting in laps as crews make their final adjustments on the ride.

Each train will have a total of 4 carts for a total of 16 passengers per train.  Also of note, there is new covering on the ThuNderaTion queue line as you can see in the lower portion of the photo.

Carr Excavating provided the internet with a new photo today that sheds a lot of light on what is going on at the park.  To say this area looks different is quite the understatement

First off you can see a new restaurant on the right that juts up against Cowboy Jepp's and is right on the lake of Flooded Mine. 

Next you can see that they have removed Big Skillet (which was right next to the new Time Traveler Shop), Buckshot Annie's and Pokesalad Mary's.  We are not sure if Hatfield's is still standing as it would be directly behind where this photo was taken.  

Finally, it looks like most of the trees have been removed in the area as the entire pavement has been ripped up and the trees should be where the cat on the left is sitting.  

Bernie's Barnyard - New for 2018 (Adventureland)

Adventureland released some new images of the brand new area being added in 2018 - Bernie's Barnyard.  

The park is teaming up with Little Tikes and Unlimited Play for this amazing new play structure.

This new play structure will be accessible for all guests thanks to the creative minds of Unlimited Play which specializes in playgrounds that are accessible and inclusive for everyone.

The park plans to release more details on the rest of the new area, including the two new rides, soon

Changes continue to happen at Silver Dollar City on Settler's Ridge (the area near Time Traveler).  Carr Excavating posted these photos of Pokesalad Mary's being demolished this week.

It is interesting that this building is being removed as it appeared that the new boardwalk exit for Time Traveler actually went around it.

Carr Excavating made short work of tearing down the structure.

By night fall, most of the structure's rubble remains had been taken off site already.  You'll note here that on the right you can see the "back porch" of the secondary Time Traveler building (which we still are guessing will be merchandise for the ride).

One final photo (this one a still from a video that Carr posted), and while I haven't been able to verify it with photos yet, I have a feeling that the other restaurants on Settler's Ridge (Annie's and Buck Shots) have also been removed.
