Boo Fest (SFSTL)

New this season is Boo Fest - a scare free day time event for the kids.
One of the new offerings is McBoogles Hayride

You board your hayride tractor behind the Joker Inc.

The tractor then takes you backstage for your adventure

I have to admit, it was a fun ride

They use the old McBoogle props that used to be along the Moon Cars ride during Fright Fest

But they have more room here, so the props are much more elaborate

Lots of old Fright Fest props being reused

It was a little jarring to see the marshmallow snowman from Holiday in the Park - but since they cancelled that event, why not use it

Bugs Bunny in his costume

Daffy and Tweety were also out in their costumes

River King Mine Train is only open during the day

Some fun decorations for Boo Fest

Finally, don't miss out on Cornelius' Straw Maze in Bugs Bunny National Park

Fire in the Hole (SDC)

As we have stated before, this gravity building is massive

If nothing else, it is creating a major berm for the park

You can see some of the new facade elements from outside of the park

From the train you can see some of the facade peeking over the fence

Appears that this is going to be themed to a village instead of just part of Fireman's Landing

The framing for another section has gone up

This still appears to be the only access point inside the gravity building

From inside the foam ball factory you can see the facade's elements coming together
(sorry the windows are filthy and this is the best we can do)

This will be the entrance to the ride

The framing looks like it is ready to receive its facade

The green building is the entrance to the ride

Hard to believe we have another year before we get to ride this thing

City Update (SDC)

Earth is being moved just outside the park for the brand new employee dorm that is expected to open sometime next season

The hope is that this will help secure more seasonal workers for the park by providing a lower cost housing option

The new campus is within walking distance to the park and Dollar General

You have to go the long way around to get to Wildfire now - meaning up past the Duplicating Lathe and American Plunge

This is your "New for 2023" addition.  A new Furniture Store, Fried Fancies and a large covered dining area

Here is a good look at the foundation for what we expect to be Fried Fancies

The lower level is more than likely going to be part of the covered seating, which is said to have a view of the waterfall area

A good portion of this area will be the new Furniture store

Plenty of markers already out in the area

It will be nice to have this area back next season

Pumpkins in the City (SDC)

When the sun sets, the park comes to life with Pumpkins in the City

Walking through the portal area near Echo Hollow

This massive Pumpkin man greets you to Pumpkins in the City

Really take your time and check out the different pumpkins in the Grand Expo area

Owl near the Electro Spin

Spider near the Royal Tea Party

Cat near the Galleon

You can get your photo with the official mascot of Pumpkins in the City

Pumpkin Plaza is home to a giant dance party that takes place most of the evening

Some of the neat pumpkins in the Pumpkin Plaza area

Those inflatable pumpkins are massive

Foggy Hollow is the newest addition to Pumpkins in the City

It is definitely interesting

Honestly the photos make it look better than what it looks like in real life

More pumpkins over by the Boatworks Theatre

Lucky on top of the Toy Store

Owls on the back of Boatworks Theatre

Pumpkin pyramids near the entrance to Riverfront Playhouse

Giant bats on the back of Riverfront Playhouse

A pyramid of a cow, pig and chicken on top of Riverfront Smokehouse

Finally the creepy owls in the trees up in Wilson Farms
