Welcome to Knoebels - the best park that is literally in the middle of nowhere.
Skloosh is a classic Shoot 'd Chutes.
Giant Wheel.
Power Surge.
The Skooters here are amazing.
Whipper is the park's whip ride.
Satellite is a Roll-O-Plane
Kozmo's Kurves is the park's kiddie coaster.
The newest coaster at the park is IMPULSE.
The park starts with a vertical lift hill.
This coaster is Zierer's answer to the Gerstlauer Infinity Coaster.
Honestly, if the Zierer model is cheaper - I'd say buy it. It was a lot of fun and rode exactly like the Infinity coasters.
If you go to Knoebels, you have to ride the Haunted Mansion. It's a $2 upcharge but it is totally worth it. By far one of the best dark rides out there.
Black Diamond Mine is an indoor scenic railway coaster. It's interesting.
Giant Flume is an amazing log flume. I was pleasantly surprised.
Phoenix is possibly the best wooden coaster in the country.
This ride is an airtime machine. Not even sure why they have seats as you are never in them.
Wipeout.
Fandango.
StratosFear - this style of drop tower always gets me. There is no delay between rising to the top and dropping. As soon as you get to the top it drops you. No sitting around waiting to drop.
Flying Turns is still an engineering marvel.
Since my last visit, they have made it even more reliable. It even operates in the rain now.
I wish they could figure out a way to increase capacity.
There's nothing like swing around these troughs. The "modern" bobsled coasters don't even come close to replicating the effect.
Besides it just looks cool.
Looper is a weird flat ride where two people work up momentum to make your pod flip upside down. Some of the kids really had their pods flipping fast. It's like a first-generation unicoaster.
So apparently there is a limit to how much you are allowed to snap your flyer at Knoebels and yes I found it. I guess it was a good thing I had a good flight as it was my only one for the evening.
I'm sorry to everyone that wanted to catch the brass ring on my 3 rides. In my defense I gave the free tickets to little kids (I had a POP bracelet so didn't need them).
Paratrooper.
Twister is a huge pile of lumber.
I was quite impressed with how smooth the ride was.
No trip to Knoebels (for me) is complete without a ride on the Scenic Skyway.
Love the views coming back down the mountain.
This is a great park. I just wish the roads to get to the park were better. Not exactly a "fun" drive back to civilization in the dark.
