Park 9 on our Eastcoaster 2023 Road Trip took us to the American Dream Mall the home of Nickelodeon Universe
Unlike at Mall of America, where their park is in the center court section, they have their park in its own wing with one dedicated entrance and exit
The park has several marquee rides with the top being TMNT Shellraiser
This eurofighter style coaster has a launch that sends up clear up into the rafters followed by several inversions
Then it takes you up a vertical lift that stops you at the top to allow you panoramic views of the NYC skyline before taking you on insane beyond vertical drop
TMNT Shellraiser is special to me as it was my 850 coaster
I just want to say that this park has some very cute rides. I love the Reptar themed Carousel
Dora's Sky Railway was a blast
It takes you up above half of the park
It was fun to see everything from a higher perspective
So we've heard it is next to impossible to get this credit since Sandy's Blasting Bronco is apparently down more than it is operational
So we were super excited to see it running. This thing is more intense than it looks. It launches you right out of the station into a series of inversions and dives
BUT once you get back to the station it is not over, they rotate that station 180 degrees and then launch you through the course backwards. It is a blast
Timmy's Half Pipe Havoc is frightening. I didn't realize how much those shoulder straps on other models make you feel more secure. This only has a lap bar and I though I was going to fall out
Coaster number 4 at the park is the Slime Streak
I think they were going for a "Orange Streak at MOA" when they envisioned this ride
However this is not a gentle ride at all. It launches over that first drop and honestly doesn't let up. We were quite surprised at how intense it was for the "family coaster" of the park
The fifth and final coaster of the park is the Shredder
This was definitely the most bizarre coaster of the group. They have taken the spinning cart that you would find at several Six Flags parks on their Pandemonium coasters and have slapped it on a very tall and long model
Large drops, swooping curves. If you are prone to motion sickness, beware
The most perfect theme for a swing ride ever
We've said that every park needs an Air Race and they have one here
Our vote for the most terrifying ride here is Kraang - because it feels like you are going to hit the ceiling
Was really impressed with how may character sightings they have.
